What’s happening these days with our so-called “role models?”
On December 12, 2001, actress Winona Ryder was caught shoplifting at Saks 5th Avenue in Beverly Hills. She was acquitted of burglary, but convicted of grand theft and vandalism for stealing $5,560.40 worth of designer merchandise.
Robert Downey Jr., meanwhile was ordered to undergo a one-year drug rehabilitation programme and sentenced to three years’ probation in July 2001 after pleading no contest to drugs charges.
On July 28, 2006, American actor, director and producer Mel Gibson was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence while speeding 87 mph in a 45 mph zone in his 2006 Lexus LS 430 in Malibu, California!
Just recently, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton shared the limelights going in and out of rehab and jail, respectively.
And now the latest, Lindsay Lohan was arrested again early Tuesday morning on suspicion of drunken driving at approximately 1:30 AM. She was driving a white SUV. The arrest was Lohan’s second for an alleged DUI in less than three months. And all she could say is she is innocent of the crime, communicating only with Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush.
I have yet to wait for our local stars to get into news like this. Thank goodness, it’s not that rampant here. There are lots of cases where our “idols” gone wild. Being an image-turn-role-models, these celebrities should be careful of their actions. I know, they are human beings too, but they have a name to take care of (much more to protect also).
Looking at the mug shot of lady Lohan clearly shows that she is having big problems and she is really in need of help…badly.
To all our celebrity friends out there, make sure you’re checking your moves, for you not to get into trouble – that is if you’re not looking for an excuse for a headline on paper the next day!
Lastly, when you drink, don’t drive – and don’t get into drugs!
Kids, never ever try this at home ![]()

I just did a post about this as well, and my thoughts echo yours, I think; when anyone is out of control, it’s horrible to watch, and because of their publicity, with celebrities, unfortunately it happens in front of the whole world.
Lohan looks like someone who really needs help… I hope she gets it. But she needs to want it first, and I’m not sure if she’s there yet.

By the looks of it, people (in this case(s), celebrities with high profile), getting caught and treated aren’t their first priority. What they mind is having a goodtime (which later could turn out into a nightmare, sheez!)
Your right! Lohan needs to want the help first. It won’t be possible treating a problem, if rejected at first.
Thanks cjwriter for commenting! Hope to hear from you again.
