Barangay Captain, Benjie Trinidad, was gunned down in Brgy. Punturin, in Valenzuela, exactly 8A.M. this morning. It caught my attention because the angle that the police were eyeing is not politics-related, even if the Barangay election is nearing. The investigator linked the crime of revenge due to a possible double-crossing, or business-related killing. The victim allegedly was an agent for a land sale.
I am now wondering, if this killing is also related to a recent gunning of a tricycle driver, one block away from our house & right infront of our Baranggay Hall, this Saturday morning. It was also linked to the same possibility of double-crossing. Prior to the killing, the tricycle driver allegedly closed a land sale. It isn’t clear yet if the victim run-away the commission from his agent-partners. It is reported that the victim recently acquired a Toyota Avanza, which might irked the suspects.
Were the two victims related? Do they knew each other? Is the killing related with one another?
Land sale or not, this thing occasionally occurs when business partnership turns sour or when the other party felt duped. This is an eye-opener to the public. Choose your business partners well and always give a fair share of commission (what is due) so that no one will get furious of a done and closed deals.
In this case, money is the root of evil.
